Wellness Ministry
GTWY’s Wellness Ministry aims to provide a source of education for the well-being of the GTWY family and our community physically, mentally (soul), and spiritually. In 2021 we had the theme of “Imago Dei” as a church and were reminded that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made Images of God, which also means we are complex and unique! We are often described as having three parts: body, soul (mind/will/emotion), and spirit. Do we “know that full well,” as David puts it in Psalm 139? These three areas can and do influence each other. And as Christians, we can learn together how to strengthen our bodies by understanding what we are and remembering that our bodies are our temples for the Holy Spirit!

What the Wellness Ministry is NOT: This ministry is purely educational and not intended to substitute for professional medical advice or treatment. You should consult your medical provider to know how best to manage your care. If you think you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call a medical professional or emergency services immediately. This ministry is also not meant to bring shame or guilt; in fact, it is quite the opposite! The goal is to enlighten you on how greatly YOU are made, and that greatness comes from the Image of God!
