COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR & FACILITIES COORDINATOR
Bethany Wayman joined Gateway Church in 2015 alongside her husband, Dan, and their sons, Lincoln and Jack. Having served in a variety of ministry areas over the years, she was already familiar with Gateway’s heartbeat, making it a natural transition to step into the roles of Communications Director and Facilities Coordinator. Bethany is passionate about bringing clarity and excellence to both the virtual spaces through communications and the physical spaces through facilities management.
As Communications Director, Bethany ensures that Gateway’s message is communicated clearly and consistently. Whether through an email, signage, or any form of outreach, her goal is that everyone who encounters Gateway ultimately encounters Jesus. In her role as Facilities Coordinator, she oversees the care and functionality of the church’s physical space at 160 Cowan Rd., ensuring it is a safe, welcoming environment where people can “experience community”. Just as Jesus invited people in and helped them know that they belonged, Bethany views both communications and facilities as vital expressions of that ministry of hospitality. They are essentially two sides of the same coin in creating spaces for connection, whether virtual or physical.
Bethany finds joy in all things creative, especially when that creativity tells a story. She loves exploring new hobbies and projects, continually inspired by the creative process. When she’s not working, she enjoys playing video games with her sons and tackling home projects with her husband, but she always finds time to discover a new crafting diversion and dive right in.
