Karen has been a dedicated partner at Gateway since 1999. With a degree in Business Management, she started her professional journey at The Vanguard Group, specializing in Human Resources for 13 years. Married to Steve since 1991, they have three children, one of whom is married.

Karen volunteered in various ministries for over 25 years before officially joining the Gateway staff in 2005. Passionate about church operations, she loves serving the church in any way she can, implementing efficient systems and strategies to spread the message of hope through Jesus and guide individuals in their spiritual journeys.

As the Director of Operations, Karen manages content for the Gateway App and ChurchCenter, assists the Gateway family in connecting to information, supports Front of House Serve Teams with scheduling and onboarding new volunteers, and leads the Connect Desk Ministry. She also assists ministry leaders with event and project management and coordinates PCO Giving/Donor activities.

Outside of her church responsibilities, Karen enjoys traveling with her husband, Steve, and keeping up with their lively mini-goldendoodle, Dash. She also finds joy in digging into God’s word through Precept inductive Bible studies.
