embrace mission.
// for the one.

Part of our code here at Gateway says that “we will influence our community so that if we left, it would be obvious.”
We believe in actively supporting our community by sharing God’s love through tangible acts of generosity.
Below, you’ll find opportunities to join us in meeting practical needs in Jesus’ name. We invite you to explore each one and find where God may call you to make a difference.

Thanksgiving Food Drive
Help make Thanksgiving a time of joy and provision for local families by contributing shelf-stable items to be included in Thanksgiving meal bags. We aim to collect 120 bags to bless families in our community this year!
Your support in providing these essential items is a powerful way to embrace the mission of making Thanksgiving special for families in need.
*Please return fully packed bags to GTWY by November 23rd*

THE POINT plays a crucial role in supporting the most vulnerable youth in our community during the critical afterschool, evening and summer hours. They provide unwavering support and essential resources, empowering youth and families to live victoriously.

GRANDFamily Connections offers peer support to those who are raising the children of others. They help guide families through their journeys navigating custody, health care, public assistance, and others. We will be able to help them with the cost increases for food, housing, clothing, therapy, and legal fees.
Operation Christmas Child
We are a drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child this year! Volunteers will be at GTWY to collect already packed boxes from November 16th-24th.
Although we already had our packing party earlier this year, if you or anyone you know would like to pack another shoe box then please don’t hesitate to send one to children around the world, sharing not only physical gifts but also the Good News of Jesus Christ!
You can either fill a regular shoe box OR there are a few extra boxes left from our summer packing party – pick them up in the GTWY Offices!
BridgeWay House Meal
We’re blessed with the opportunity to provide the means necessary to offer a full Thanksgiving Dinner for the residents at BridgeWay House who can not be with their family and friends during this holiday.
BridgeWay House is an organization that offers a supportive environment for those recovering from addiction. Their mission is to provide a safe and nurturing atmosphere that empowers those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction to successfully recover.
We will be serving approximately 40 men on Thanksgiving Day at noon.
Christmas Giving Tree
GTWY has a special opportunity to embrace mission by partnering with The Bridge Academy to provide gifts for kids who face hardship this holiday season.
As we prepare our hearts for the celebration of our Savior’s birth, we are reminded that He was a gift of love to us and that we are called to reflect that love in a tangible way to our own community.
Simply choose a gift tag from The Atrium, purchase a gift from the suggested list that is $25 or less, and return it unwrapped by December 7th. Your generosity is more than just a present! It’s a message to a child and their family that they are seen and loved.
The Bridge Academy has many other opportunities to embrace mission this holiday season, including:
// Christmas Family Dinner for around 200 people in our community. There is a need for financial support, but they also welcome volunteers that are looking to help serve dinner!
// Sponsor A Family that is chosen due to significant trauma that has impacted the whole family. They identified 7 families last year and were able to not only give them gifts for their children but also pay bills and stock their pantries with food.
Please contact Autumn at The Bridge Academy directly to see how you can be Jesus to those who are in need of His hope and joy this Christmas!
Grocery Store Gift Cards
GTWY is collecting grocery store gift cards to support families in our community who are struggling to put food on the table. Many of our neighbors are facing greater food insecurity than ever before and though we always keep gift cards on hand to share, we’d like to make sure we have more than usual this season.
A simple gift card can make a big difference. It allows parents to choose the specific foods their families need and gives them the opportunity to have a warm holiday meal.

Please purchase gift cards in $50 increments from local grocery stores and drop them into our HOPE Box in The Atrium.

We are for the one.
For the one God, for His one Church, and for the one that is lost.
Your generosity with your time is for the one.
We believe our generosity will help meet physical needs that open the door for the proclamation and reception of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
